Dazed & Confused are looking for Emerging Artists

Dazed & Confused are holding their fourth annual Converse/Dazed Emerging Artists Award. Will you enter?

Dazed & Confused magazine have teamed up with Converse for the fourth year in a row to search for this year’s best emerging artists.

The Converse/Dazed Emerging Artists Award is held at The Whitechapel Gallery and aims to find untapped talent from artists under the age of 35 who are not represented by a gallery in the UK.

The prize is open to all spectrums of art, whether it be photography, video, sculpture, performance or any other forum. The judging panel is made up of Sadie Coles, gallerist; Matt Williams, ICA curator; Paul Noble, Turner Prize-nominated artist; Miranda Sawyer, arts journalist; Michelle Cotton, firstsite curator; Kirsty Ogg, Whitechapel Gallery curator and Francesca Gavin, Dazed & Confused visual arts editor.

The shortlisted artists will receive £1,000 each to exhibit site-specific work which will be exhibited in a specially-curated east London location, with the winner receiving an extra £5,000 at a prize giving event at the Whitechapel Gallery.
