Last night the fashion A-List gathered together for the biggest event in their year – the Met Ball 2013, which we’re sure those of you with a Harper’s Bazaar subscription will know all about by now.
Every year the Costume Institute Gala is held to celebrate the annual opening of the Metropolitan Museum’s exhibition at the Costume Institute and this year’s in entitled Punk: From Chaos To Couture.
Now with a theme like punk, we felt pretty confident that gossip magazines’ worst-dressed lists would get a boost this week. Obviously, plenty will make the cut but there were also a lot of great dresses on display.
Beyonce was an honorary chair at the Ball, so all eyes were on her and she didn’t disappoint in a Givenchy number. Anne Hathaway wore black lace Valentino and also debuted her new bleach blonde hair, Cara Delevingne opted for a black studded Burberry dress and Jennifer Lawrence teamed a jewelled Dior ball gown with a black veil.
Lily Cole attended the Gala with the mother of Punk herself, Vivienne Westwood, who also designed the model’s dress for the event.
