If you have an NME magazine subscription then chances are you’ll already know about their search for the best small gig venue in Britain. The magazine will be working with Jack Daniel’s J.D. Roots campaign to find the perfect place, whilst also raising the profile of local music scenes around the country.
It is the third time NME have gone on the lookout and then second year that they are working with Jack Daniel. They will be taking musicians back to their hometowns for one-off gigs to show off their local area’s musical offerings.
NME editor Mike Williams says: "Small venues are the lifeblood of the live music scene in the UK, and it's never been more important to support them and help them thrive. The search for Britain's Best Small Venue is a campaign that NME feels incredibly passionate about, and we're proud to take it into its third year. We know that the NME audience cares about the future of all the brilliant small venues up and down the UK as much as we do, so we're looking forward to this year's competition being our most supported and exciting yet."
