Kings of Leon on V Fest Staffordshire

Rock band Kings of Leon have hailed V Festival in Staffordshire as of their "favourite shows ever" after performing at the gig at the weekend.

Kings of Leon have described their performance at V Festival in Staffordshire as one of their "favourite shows ever", reports NME magazine.

People with an NME magazine subscription might be interested to know that the indie-rock band drew in the biggest crowd of the weekend when they closed the festival on the Main Stage on Sunday night.

They showcased three brand new songs at the festival, which also took place in Essex at Hylands Park, Chelmsford over the weekend too.

Kings of Leon played Mary, Radioactive and Southbound, all from their forthcoming album, Come Around Sundown, at Weston Park.

They changed their set slightly from the one they played at Hylands Park on Saturday, throwing in Charmer, Slow Night So Long and other crowd-pleasers, including On Call, The Bucket and Notion.

Frontman Caleb Followill was quoted by NME magazine as saying: "I can already tell there is something in the air tonight. We are going to have a good time alright."

Kings of Leon go on tour next month, with their first gig taking place at the Verizon Wireless Music Center in Indianapolis.
