Heat Rich List 2017 Revealed

The 30 richest British stars under 30 revealed according to the annual guide.

Heat’s Rich List 2017 is here (the full list will feature in this week’s issue) and the results are… well, they aren’t THAT surprising. Adele has retained her crown as the richest British celebrity under 30, having toppled One Direction off the top spot last year. The singer, 29, has a staggering estimated wealth of £132m according the Heat Rich List, an annual guide to the UK’s richest young stars.

On her recent 121-date Adele Live 2016/17 tour, Adele is said to have scooped more than £500k a night, and with the songstress about to enter another self-imposed period of hibernation, she is sure to have time to enjoy her new £4m home in Sussex, her £5.4m LA mansion, £5.65m London mews house and £5m seaside home in Hove.

Harry Potter alumni Daniel Radcliffe retains his second place with an amassed fortune of £78m. The 28-year-old is still collecting cash from his time spent as the spectacled wizard and back in 2000 the actor’s canny parents created a company to invest his fortune, which has made him even richer.

Ed Sheeran’s record sales and bank balance continue to rise in rapid succession. The flame-haired singer-song writer is in third position with an estimated worth of £52m. Even before his best-selling album ÷ was released last March, Ed was earning £47k a day. With the album selling 7m copies and an 18-month world tour grossing £750k a gig, maybe it’s time for him to trade in his scruffy jumpers.

Following their split last year, One Direction feature separately in the Rich List, taking up five of the top ten spots.  Harry Styles, 23, is the band’s biggest earner with £50m thanks to his mega-bucks £60million solo deal and his acting career. Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne feature in joint sixth place with £40m each, but with Liam’s girlfriend Cheryl worth an estimated £20m, the couple now have a combined worth of £60m. Leaving 1D is estimated to have cost Zayn Malik £5m in missed tour earnings but he scrapes in to the top ten at number 9 with £37m having clawed some back from his solo career and fashion endorsements.

Rounding off the top ten is Britain’s most successful girlband since the Spice Girls, Little Mix. Since winning the X-Factor in 2011 the band have collected countless sponsorship deals and their The Glory Days tour has grossed £6m so far.

This year sees new entries from Slumdog Millionaire actor Dev Patel, TOWIE stars Sam Faiers, Joey Essex, Amy Childs, presenter Rylan Clark-Neal and Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner.

Justin Bieber topples Taylor Swift as the wealthiest under-30 star outside the UK thanks to a busy year where his £94m-grossing Purpose world tour, JustMoji icons and Calvin Klein adverts earned him an estimated £62.8m in 12 months alone. Taylor, meanwhile is worth £209m and broke streaming records (28m times in 24 hours) with her Look What You Made Me Do single upon its release in August.
