About The Spicery

The Spicery brings the wider world to your own kitchen. Each month cook delicious food from around the world with the freshest, and most flavoursome and fragrant spices around.

Every month we produce recipes in our development kitchen then grind and blend the spice mixes freshly, measure them out into individual portions and post them direct through the letterboxes of thousands of home cooks around the world.

The Spicery was started by James Ransome in 2005. Standing in a Marrakesh market surrounded by the colour and fragrance of spices, James had his 'lightbulb moment'. 

The business started on a weekend stall at Green Park market in Bath with a few resealable bags of ingredients and some simple blends. From then The Spicery supplied many of the best restaurants in the UK (the Fat Duck, Ottolenghi, Rick Stein and many others were all good customers over the years), The Spicery were the inventors of the world's very first recipe kit subscription way back in 2006, and to date have sent over 1million subscription boxes out to happy customers around the world. 

1. The first box is sent to the delivery address you enter at the isubscribe checkout, with a voucher card inside

2. The recipient activates the voucher to receive the remaining boxes at their chosen address. (please note, no further boxes are sent until the voucher is acivated)

3. First box is sent within 7 working days of the order, subsequent boxes sent at the end of each month for the subscription term purchased
