Kellan Lutz tells Men’s Health how he got his buff body

As ever, the March issue of Men's Health is filled with tips on how to get fit and healthy - including tips from Kellan Lutz.

Since Kellan Lutz came to the world’s attention playing the (only) stocky and strong vampire Emmett in Twilight, he has had a number of roles in which he has needed to look pretty beefy. He has now taken on the task of playing the mythical, ancient Greek half-mortal, half-god in The Legend of Hercules.

Speaking to Men’s Health in the March issue, he reveals that his time on Twilight actually helped his bodybuilding. “I was bored,” he says. “They put us in these small apartment complexes – the fans and paparazzi were outside the whole time. So I bunkered down in the gym; it was my escape.”

Since then, Lutz has learned how to keep his body in top shape – starting by building up his body with high reps and low weight. Secondly, comes diet. For Hercules, Lutz’s diet was heavy on protein and wheat-free.

Of course, there’s more to it than that… but we’d ruin the fun of reading the issue if we told you everything, wouldn’t we?
