The Economist magazine looks at the NHS reforms

If you've got a The Economist magazine subscription, you can read about the NHS reforms.

The Economist magazine subscription holders can read all about the proposed NHS reforms.

Deputy prime minister Nick Clegg has now hinted the basic changes will stay in place, but the public will be able to give their views about some of the major amendments which are set to be introduced.

In the latest edition of The Economist magazine, the publication will discuss why the "farrago over NHS reforms risks making the government look impetuous and incompetent rather than bold".

Also in the new issue of the publication, there is an article about the News of the World phone-hacking scandal, looking at how the tabloid has admitted liability and why it has been left "red-faced all over".

The Economist magazine also looks at the recent murder in Northern Ireland and whether this means Ireland's peace process will once again be thrown into question.

PSNI officer Ronan Kerr was killed by a car bomb on April 2nd. His funeral was attended by numerous high-profile figures, including Irish premier Enda Kenny and Northern Ireland's first and deputy first ministers Peter Robinson and Martin McGuinness.
