Red has always been the go-to fashion, style and current affairs title for me. It’s brave, uplifting and tackles some of the key things that matter to the modern woman. Really though, more than anything else, it’s about being inspired by what’s in front of you. The influences in Red come from the UK and overseas, but are presented in a way that make you want to go out and try new looks, sample new colours and fashions, and really explore fashion and style, no matter that the season.
I like a fashion magazine that appreciates the fact everyone is different and that everyone will have something about themselves that they perhaps don’t like. Red is about celebrating who we are, both in terms of what we wear, how we speak and how we consider the world, and I really like that celebration of freedom. The fashion and beauty advice in Red is extensive and there are always seasonal references in terms of what’s on trend now and what you should prepare for in the coming weeks and months.
I’ve become a huge fan of Red magazine because it knows and respects its target demographic so well. It’s for those through their heavy partying years and looking towards family and settling down, but in targeting thirty-somethings it still appreciates the fact women want to dress well, let their hair down, experience all parts of life and sample new cultures. It’s brilliantly written and has a main focus on fashion and food, but also touches on relationships and emotions too. It’s very nicely done.
Red offers a great cross-section for any modern woman – fashion, beauty, health and, my personal favourite, food! I love their themed issues and you feel you are getting such a big slice of advice in every section that you’re never behind on the latest talking points.
I like Red for the range of features it has. There’s always a really good mix of ideas, particularly around fashion and homes – my two favourite subjects! At the end of the day it’s a well-rounded read, and one of those fat mags that reassures you you’re getting value for money!
