I have subscribed to House and Garden for many years, enjoying much of what is therein. However, I have to agree that too many flashy adverts as well as a much greater bias towards modern houses and minimal living are sadly causing me to have a re-think about renewing my subscription in May
I've only had two editions so far but I'm not sure this is for me. Too many expensive adverts and lots of posh homes. Lovely to look at but not very inspiring for me personally. I like more rustic country charm which means I just might go back to Country Living. But there have been a few articles I've found interesting so not all bad!
I have enjoyed the magazine, although find as with all magazines far too many adverts !\n\n

I like a lot of political and social affair magazines actually, but I guess they don’t do my gardening ambitions that much use, so if I had to go for a magazine that reflects what I do for a living, I’d go for House & Garden. This is a really nice title – the best in the market for providing ideas and trends in terms of what's coming up in gardening. Gardening is such as seasonal thing, so you always need a magazine you can rely on to look ahead, and that’s just what House & Garden is.
