Dazed & Confused magazine has spoken to architect and interior, accessory and clothes designer Philippe Starck.

The creative genius spoke to the publication about a number of things, including his latest collaboration with Dedon, which he said is based on a shared belief that intelligence, generosity, tenderness, love and respect must shine through in design work.

He chose the Milan International Furniture Fair to present the Play With Dedon range, which includes personalised stackable armchairs and mirror-aluminium-finished dining tables.

"The manufacturing process is based on ethical principles," Mr Starck explained, talking specifically about the creation of the chair.

"The idea was to have a base, with or without armrest, and then play with it, so that people can be able to create their own item."

He went on to talk about how people should be more discerning and only buy what they need and what they actually want to buy; not what marketing departments trick them into thinking they desire.

Meanwhile, Dazed & Confused recently spoke to T-Shirt Party founder Stan Still, who is on a mission to get Londoners to stop wearing clothes that reference US culture.
