Ali Larter: It took 5 months to lose baby weight

Ali Larter talks to Health magazine about getting her post-baby body back to normal.

Losing baby weight seems to be a pretty topical subject, as it is a problem the majority of women are faced with at some time or other – particular in the entertainment industry.

Heroes actress Ali Larter had her baby three years ago and opens up to Health magazine to talk about her experience.

“A lot of women say that they breast-feed and the pounds come right off,' she tells the magazine. 'But for me and [actresses like] Busy [Philipps], who enjoy our cake, it's not going to come off in two months. I gained 45 pounds. Mine came off at about five months, after working out a lot and doing a food delivery service.”

She confesses that she does still feel the “Hollywood pressure” to stay in shape at all times. “I do, but I am more self-aware now,” she says. “Your physicality is a huge part of your career as an actress. I just read this article where Cindy Crawford said that by the time she's 50, she's going to come to terms with her body.”

Her perspectives on body shape has changed sine having a baby, too. “It's hard to impress me with a body that hasn't had a baby,” she says. “Have a baby and then let's talk.”
