Glamour magazine has looked at some of the celebrity love triangles that have captured the public's imagination over the past few years.
Perhaps most recent and relevant is the three-way battle still running between Katie Price, Peter Andre and Alex Reid.
Price, also known as Jordan, met her ex-husband and singer Peter on the set of I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here.
However, a much publicised relationship and subsequent divorce has continued to capture the media eye even after the two parted ways.
Katie is now married to Alex Reid - a cage-fighter - who is now constantly compared to Andre, much to his disappointment.
Meanwhile another famous three-way tug was between Dennis Quaid and Russell Crowe for the attentions of actress Meg Ryan.
According to the magazine, Quaid and Ryan's nine-year marriage was already in jeopardy before Aussie Crowe appeared on the scene in 2000.
However, the Robin Hood star's relationship with Ryan lasted just a few months.
Crowe has also appeared in movies such as Gladiator and Cinderella Man.
