Out-of-shape men all over the UK may be rejoicing after Cheryl Cole revealed that she would rather date a man with a pot belly that a toned athlete.
According to OK! magazine, the Girls Aloud star and X-Factor judge has promised never to date a ripped man again after separating from husband Ashley.
She explained that she would find it hard to look at another athletically-built fellow following the difficulties she has experienced of late.
The solo artist suggested that she may be more interested in a Bermuda shorts-wearing pot bellied chap than one in Speedos with a perfect body.
Since her split from her footballer husband, the Fight For This Love singer has become hot property on the celebrity dating market and OK! has linked her with backing dancer Derek Hough and Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am.
Cheryl is set to tour with the Black Eyed Peas this year before beginning work on her second solo album.
Meanwhile, Ashley Cole's hopes of playing at the World Cup appear to be under threat after he broke a bone while playing for Chelsea.
