Jessica Chastain has spent the last few years making a name for herself. She’s starred in The Help, The Tree of Life, Lawless and now she’s about to make waves in new movie Zero Dark Thirty, where she plays a CIA agent on the hunt for Osama Bin Laden.
According to Chastain, the movie is bound to cause a stir when it comes out. “This film will make news,” she says. “We all think we know how it ended. We don’t. And this movie is about how it really ended. It is shocking. When I first read the script, I was blown away by this woman. The sacrifices she made and what she had to do. It’s something I still get very emotional about. What happens when you live for this one goal? And then you achieve it.” Chastain looks gorgeous in her photo shoot in the latest issue of GQ, which those of you with a magazine subscription will have just received. In one photo, the actress lies on the bed on the telephone wearing nothing but a pair of heels and a strategically placed bed sheet.
The actress says that she was never considered attractive at school. “It’s a huge compliment when someone says you’re attractive, especially when I was such an awkward kid – I was very tomboyish, with very short red hair, running around with cowboy boots on. So when someone tells me I’m a sex symbol I’m like, ‘what?’. But I’ll take what I can get. That’ll teach all those boys back in Junior High!”
