Interpol fans have been given some good news by NME magazine, which has reported that the band have made a new song available for free.

The US indie rockers, whose previous hits include Slow Hands and Evil, are soon to release their fourth studio album and are keen to give their loyal followers a taste of things to come.

As such, they have made Lights - which features on the album - available as a complimentary download on their website InterpolNYC.com.

The good news doesn't stop there though - the band revealed on its website that there is more to come over the next few weeks.

It said it plans to keep fans visiting the online resources by offering a drip feed of important information, dates and even more tunes.

The new album, set to be released later this year, will be the first from Interpol since their 2007 Our Love To Admire.
