Arsenal wrapped up a turbulent week in style by progressing to the next round of the Champions League.

The London club ensured their passage to the last eight of European football's premier competition by disposing of Portuguese outfit Porto 5-0 at the Emirates.

A hat trick from Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner and a goal each from Samir Nasri and Emmanuel Eboue helped provide the Premiership giants with a 6-2 aggregate win following a 2-1 loss in the first leg.

The victory may have gone some way to lifting spirits at the club after youngster Aaron Ramsay suffered a horrific leg break in the match against Stoke on February 27th.

The Gunners won that game and also beat Burnley in the Premiership at the weekend.

Such a strong win over Porto may be an indication that the sickening injury caused to the Welsh midfielder by Ryan Shawcross has galvanised the squad.

Meanwhile, hat trick hero Bendtner recently spoke to Arsenal magazine about his hometown of Copenhagen.
