Our favourite celebrity winter weddings... inspired by Brides!

As our latest issue of Brides arrives, filled with wintry ideas, we remember our favourite celebrity winter weddings.

The latest issue of Brides magazine – the January/February issue – is on sale in shops on Monday. However, those of you with a subscription will have just received it through the post.

Even though wedding season is now over, it doesn’t mean that wedding fever ever stops – after all, some brides-to-be dream of the perfect winter wedding. Here are some of our favourite celebrity weddings held in winter...

Nicole Ritchie and Joel Madden tied the knot in December 2010, joined by friends, family and their two children Harlow and Sparrow. Ritchie rocked three Marchesa gowns on her big day. Why not?

Gisele married American footballer Tom Brady in a very small and private ceremony in Santa Monica in February 2009. The couple are now expecting their second child together! Aww.

Who can forget Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s lavish December wedding in December 2000 at Skibp Castle in Scotland? Madonna wore a dress designed by good friend Stella McCartney. Those are the kind of friends a girl needs! Sadly the couple are no longer together, but it still looked beautiful.

Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas got married at the New York Plaza in November 2000. It was only a couple of months after Jones had given birth to daughter Cerys, but she still looked beautiful in her Christian Lacroix ivory sheath gown.

And last but not least, model Sophie Dahl married singer Jamie Cullum in a winter wonderland themed wedding in December 2010. The ceremony was super private with guests being asked not to bring cameras. However, it is said the bride looked lovely in her Versace dress.

Now we’ve reminisced, we can’t wait to have a flick through the whole issue of Brides. Good job it’s the weekend...
