Sex and the City fans who have a Vogue magazine subscription will be able to read rumours about a new Carrie Bradshaw on the scene.
Gossip Girl Blake Lively is apparently going to play a young Carrie in the upcoming prequel to Candice Bushnell's hit novels.
Vogue magazine reports Blake could be taking on the role in the "coming-of-age story of one of fashion's most famous characters" in The Carrie Diaries.
Blake's agent could not be reached by Vogue magazine for an official comment to be obtained, but various news providers have suggested Blake could well be in line for a role.
The actress has got off to a great start to 2011, with Karl Lagerfeld last month making her the latest Chanel ambassador, reports Vogue magazine.
Sarah Jessica Parker played the role of Carrie in the immensely successful Sex and the City TV series.
She also played the character in both of the spin-off films.
