Marie Claire magazine has reported on a nasal spray said to make men more sensitive.

Marie Claire may have found the answer for women who feel their man is not affectionate enough.

The magazine revealed that scientists claim to have invented a spray that makes males more sensitive.

Using the hormone oxytocin, the product is said to boost emotional responses in men, with tests showing that it actually works.

An experiment took 48 men and gave half a placebo (dummy spray), while the others used the nasal spray before being shown photographs of a man in mourning and a child crying.

Those who took the oxytocin registered higher emotional empathy levels, which could suggest that the product does exactly what it promises to do.

According to the Daily Mail, the hormone evokes feelings of contentment, reduces anxiety and is used in female reproduction.

An additional benefit is that it is said to alleviate some symptoms of autism by encouraging sociability.

Meanwhile, Marie Claire recently published a feature looking at whether blondes really do have more fun.
