Will mobile phones be banned at the London Olympic Games?

Mobile magazine subscription holders can read about a possible phone ban at the Olympics.

If you've got a Mobile magazine subscription, you can read about a possible phone ban at the London Olympic Games.

The ban is apparently being mooted for security reasons, however, it could undermine proposals to make the Games the so-called mobile phone Olympics, reports the publication.

Ticket holders' terms and conditions reveal the ban, which could be enforced by the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games.

However, in an attempt to play down the proposed mobile phone ban, a spokesperson said: "In many cases, decisions have not been made on what will or will not be allowed into venues."

Mobile magazine reported that the representative added: "When tickets are issued the final terms and conditions will be made clear to ticketholders."

The London Olympic Games will be taking place from July 27th to August 12th next year, with the Paralympic Games held from August 29th to September 9th.
