Brazilian Wagner caused Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole to moan about his song, while fellow judge Simon Cowell criticised Louis Walsh's song choices - Spice Up Your Life and Livin' La Vida Loca.
Chezza sang live on the Sunday night show, performing her latest solo single Promise This.
The star debuted her first ever solo offering on last year's X Factor, singing Fight for This Love on the show.
Her mentee Cher performed well, with Simon hailing her as "confident", while Cheryl said: "You are what a popstar should be."
