As any of you with a US Weekly magazine subscription will already know, what seems like the whole world sat open-mouthed staring at the cover of the latest issue as the magazine announced that Kristen Stewart had cheated on Robert Pattinson with married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
Surely not, we all thought. Then we saw the pictures... could they have been photo shopped? We didn't have to wonder for long as Kristen Stewart soon released a statement apologising.
The actress said: "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."
Sanders then followed suit by publicly apologising to his wife, Liberty Ross who played Snow White's mother in the film, and his two children.
Twilight fans have been very vocal on Twitter, slating Stewart for her behaviour or even declaring that all of the information is fake - even her statement.
Robert Pattinson is yet to comment on the situation, whilst Liberty Ross (who had posted some interesting Tweets the day before the news broke) has since deleted her Twitter account.
Whatever happens with the Rob/Kristen relationship now, there's no doubt that the premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 is going to be AWKWARD, as is the filming of the Snow White and the Huntsman sequel which both Stewart and Sanders have signed up for.
