Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell drew a lot of media attention for her Union Jack dress in the 1990s and it appears one US star is hoping to replicate it.
Katy Perry recently appeared on James Corden's World Cup live show sporting a skin-tight rubber dress that was half Union Jack and half Stars 'n' Stripes.
According to Heat magazine, the star may have been seeking to gain some limelight by donning the sexy outfit.
However, it pointed out that the I Kissed A Girl singer may have made an error in choosing the outfit.
"While we're pleased her allegiance has swung a little more towards the anglaise since meeting Russell Brand, can we just take a moment to point out that it was England playing on Saturday - not the UK," it said.
Perry, who is engaged to comedian Brand, reportedly had some trouble in getting the dress to the UK after a passenger died on the flight it was coming across on.
