Cheryl Cole told to calm down

Cheryl Cole has been told by doctors to change her lifestyle or face seriously risking her health.

Geordie songstress Cheryl Cole has been told that she must change her lifestyle when she recovers from the potentially-deadly malaria she contracted on a recent trip to Tanzania.

According to Now magazine, doctors have warned the sexy singer that she needs to take a substantial break from her high-pressure life to fully get over the parasite.

An insider told the magazine that her mother has begged the X Factor judge to take a year out.

"She's totally bought into this 'brand Cheryl' thing," the source said.

"Being helpless, scared and not in control right now will be more difficult for her to handle than for others."

The Girls Aloud singer contracted the illness on a romantic getaway with dancer Derek Hough and was rushed to hospital after fainting during a photo shoot and complaining of stomach pain.

The 27-year-old divorced her Chelsea and England footballer husband Ashley earlier this summer and has also been romantically linked to Black Eyed Peas star Will.I.Am.
