Chessington World of Adventures appoints new PR agency

Anyone with a PR Week magazine subscription can find out which agency nabbed the Chessington World of Adventures account.

Clarion Communications beat off the competition in a four-way pitch to land the contract to handle PR at the theme park.

As well as publicity for the theme park itself, the account also covers Chessington Zoo, the Sea Life Centre and Holiday Inn, reports PR Week magazine.

The team at Clarion will be overseen by its managing director Amanda Meyrick.

She said: "We will be working with Chessington to deliver a PR campaign which further establishes the Chessington Resort as Britain’s wildest adventure," reports PR Week magazine.
Merlin Entertainments Group is the company which is in charge of Chessington.

It is one of the leading names in location-based, family entertainment and has seen some amazing growth over the past five years.
