Liam Neeson tells GQ an interesting Woody Allen story…

Liam Neeson reveals to GQ that he was working with Woody Allen when Mia Farrow discovered Soon-Yi pictures.

In this month’s issue of GQ, Liam Neeson reflects on working with director Woody Allen back in the early ‘90s. Woody Allen has courted some controversy in his time, not only has he been accused of sexually abusing his adopted daughter, he famously embarked on an affair with then-girlfriend Mia Farrow’s adopted daughter Soon-Yi, whom he has now been married to for 17 years. When the story broke, Soon-Yi was just 20 years old at the time.

It just so happens that Neeson was working with Allen at the time on a film named Husbands & Wives. "It was fucking great," he said of filming with Allen. "However, there was one incident - people think I've made this up, but no. There's a scene where I'm going down on Judy Davis, right. Judy and I are in bed - obviously covered up - and as I'm going down, Judy's having this monologue in her head. And the crew are all ready, and we're waiting for Woody. No-show. It's starting to get a bit uncomfortable - it's a bed scene. Anyway, he came out after about twenty minutes and said, 'Okay. Camera starts on Judy. Liam, I want to just see the top of your head. Okay, we know where you're going...." So there was no apology; nothing. What happened: His lawyer had gotten in touch with him to say Ms. Farrow has found naked photographs of her adopted daughter [Soon-Yi]."

That’s quite the work anecdote!
