If you have a subscription to FRANCE magazine then you may have noticed that this week’s cover is a little different to usual. The image isn’t from France at all but rather from a little closer to home – Yorkshire.
It’s the first time in its 24-year history that the publication has depicted a country other than France on the cover. Of course, it’s because this year Tour De France starts off in the northern county.
The cover depicts many of Yorkshire’s most famous attractions, including Betty’s Tearooms, York Minster and our favourite cyclist, Bradley Wiggins, wearing his yellow vest.
Carolyn Boyd, editor of FRANCE Magazine, said: “We already have a great number of readers in Yorkshire, which proves there is a long love affair between the county and France. We are delighted to celebrate this in our July issue and I can’t wait to see the Grand Départ on Yorkshire turf.”
