Brits looking to make an impression this spring and summer should invest in one or more pairs of statement trousers, it has been suggested.
Elle magazine has claimed that such a choice will keep readers turning heads as they go about their daily business during the warmer months of 2010.
It noted that the style has been adopted by the UK's fashionistas, with "brave bold prints, buckles, buttons and brocades in skinny and harem styles" very much en vogue.
However, Elle advised those opting for such trousers not to make the fashion faux pas of combining them with an over-complicated top.
A simple tailored blazer and easy-tee combo will allow the bottom half to make its statement, the magazine stated.
In terms of shoes, the trousers can be worn with either killer heels or twee flats, Elle added.
Meanwhile, the publication has revealed that Space NK stores have launched the new Lime Crime lipstick brand.
