Cosmopolitan magazine has reported that Hollywood hottie Lindsay Lohan has refuted claims that she had a bust-up with Canadian singer Avril Lavigne.
According to recent reports, the pair were spotted at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles, but when Lohan approached Lavigne's table she was met with a verbal tirade.
Lavigne allegedly shouted: "Get the hell out of my face, you are fake, you are a loser. I don't like false people. Stay away from me and my friends."
The magazine noted that there had been a previous incident in which 23-year-old actress Lohan blanked the songstress at a party.
However, she told KISS-FM that the stories were unfounded and that the media and public have her all wrong saying that there is "a big misconception of who I am as a person".
Lohan suggested that she may be making herself a target by allowing herself to be seen out in public at night, but suggested that she deserved a little relaxation due to the fact that she had been working so hard.
Avril Lavigne split from her Sum 41 star husband Deryck Whibley last year.
