First time Vogue cover for Beyonce

Beyonce appears on her first Vogue cover as she talks about marriage, motherhood and being a feminist.

She may well be one of the biggest divas the music industry has ever seen, but this month marks a momentous occasion for Beyonce – her debut on the prestigious Vogue’s cover.

Speaking to the magazine, Beyonce defends choices that he has previously been criticized for, and considers herself a feminist.

She says: "But I guess I am a modern-day feminist. I do believe in equality. Why do you have to choose what type of woman you are? Why do you have to label yourself anything? I’m just a woman and I love being a woman.”

She also talks about her decision to name her tour the Mrs Carter tour – using husband Jay-Z’s real name Shawn Carter.

"I feel like Mrs Carter is who I am, but more bold and more fearless than I've ever been,” she explains. "It comes from knowing my purpose and really meeting myself once I saw my child. I was like, 'OK, this is what you were born to do'. The purpose of my body became completely different."
