Check out Hatwalk as part of Fashion 2012

If you're out and about in Central London this week, check out Hatwalk!

If you're walking through Central London during the Olympic Games, you might notice that some famous London landmarks look slightly different than usual.

Hatwalk, as supported by BT and Grazia magazine, will see 21 statues around the city sporting some fabulous headwear from some of Britain's best milliners. Statues included are Lord Nelson and King George VI in Trafalgar Square, William Shakespeare in Leicester Square and Robert Burns at Victoria Embankment.

An interactive structure from BT will allow the public to check out replicas of the hats, as well as take pictures of themselves wearing a hat which was donated by John Lewis, which they can then upload to GraziaDaily.co.uk.

"You've got to take your hats off to London," Mayor Boris Johnson said. "The cutting edge style and imagination of London's millinery talent is feted worldwide and is setting the international catwalks alight. I can't think of a better way to celebrate the heritage of British millinery and its contribution than by dressing our most noble of statues."

Hatwalk will be on display until 2nd August, so if you want to see it you'd better get your skates on!
