The Libertines 'have no future'

NME magazine subscription holders can read about indie group The Libertines.

Music fans with an NME magazine subscription can read all about indie band The Libertines.

Carl Barat, co-frontman of the group, told the publication that there's no immediate future for the band.

He hinted to NME magazine that there was, once again, bad blood between him and the group's other frontman, controversial artist Pete Doherty.

"We are all in very different places," he said. "Right now is not the time for The Libertines."

The singer added, in his interview with NME magazine, that he believed "the water under the bridge was under the bridge, but it's maybe not".

It was believed that The Libertines might have a reunion, after they performed at Reading Festival last year.

However, this new interview with NME magazine has quashed rumours the band might be playing at this year's Glastonbury.

The Libertines released their first album, Up the Bracket, back in 2002 and since then, they've produced two other offerings, The Libertines in 2004 and Time for Heroes - The Best of The Libertines, in 2007.
