Disney Channel star Selena Gomez has told OK! magazine subscription holders that she cried when she found out she was going to be home-schooled.
The 18-year-old Wizards of Waverley Place actress said her lack of normal schooling made her feel she had been deprived of her childhood.
"I actually cried. We were moving and I had no choice. I was like, ‘I’m not going to get a locker and I'm not going to go to prom’," Selena told OK! magazine.
"That [annoyance] lasted a month and then I was fine, especially after talking to my friends about what they were dealing with at school."
The actress also spoke to the mag about her friend Demi Lovato being admitted to rehab.
"I feel like a horrible friend for not being there for her or acting like I haven't been there," she told OK! magazine.
"I recently visited with her and I'm glad she is seeking help and I hope that it gets better for her. I knew this time was going to come, but I didn't think it would happen this way."
