Kimberley Walsh defends Nadine Coyle's album

Girls Aloud fans with an OK! magazine subscription can read Kimberley Walsh's column in which she defends Nadine Coyle's album.

If you've got an OK! magazine subscription, you can read Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh defending her bandmate Nadine Coyle's first album flop.

The singer called for "mean" critics to give Nadine a break, after her debut solo effort sold a measly number of copies when it went on sale earlier this month.

Insatiable charted at just number 47, selling only 117 hard copies on its first day of release.

Kimberley said her pal is "just happy" her album was released in the first place, dismissing the criticism Nadine's received for her music.

"The slating Nadine's got in the press for her single sales was mean. Nadine is just happy to release the music she loves and I think people need to give her a break," the singer wrote.

She added chart positions aren't everything.

"I bought the album and there are some really good songs on there that could be big hits. We want her to do well and we're supporting her all the way," said Kimberley.
