Kelly Brook has been plagued by criticism that her first Hollywood film sees her sporting a bikini throughout.
The curvy star said she doesn't care if she was cast for her body in Piranha 3D, reports Closer magazine.
She said: "If people want to cast me in roles for my body or how I look, I’m just doing to embrace that because that’s not going to be the case forever."
"It doesn't make me any less important than anyone else in the movie just because I’m in a bikini. That’s just the role I play. It's as much a part of the story as the piranhas and everything else," Kelly added.
The film features a scene which is bound to please many of Kelly's male fans, as she shares a lesbian kiss with pornstar Riley Steele.
Just last month, Brook and her rugby player boyfriend, Danny Cipriani, split up after a two-year relationship.
Kelly has, in the past, dated Hollywood stars Jason Statham and Billy Zane.
