Edgar Wright already working on next Marvel superhero

Scott Pilgrim vs The World director Edgar Wright has revealed his plans for his next project, Ant Man, which will be based on another Marvel comic superhero.

The director of the latest superhero movie, Scott Pilgrim vs The World, has revealed he is already working on his next project, an adaptation of Marvel's Ant Man.

Film buffs with a Vanity Fair subscription can read an interview with the rising director and comic book fan where he told the magazine his ideas for a movie based upon The Avengers associated character.

Ant Man is a relatively unknown Marvel comic hero. The plot goes that scientist Henry Pym has the power to shrink down to the size of an Ant and then control colonies of insects.

Speaking about his plans for his the movie, Mr Wright explained he envisioned creating a "shrinking film about a bad-ass secret agent".

While the story might feature a lesser known Marvel character, Wright's concept could have the potential to become a hit film.

Edgar Wright's current film, Scott Pilgrim vs The World based on the Scott Pilgrim graphic novel series features rising actor Michael Cera as Scott who needs to defeat his new girlfriend's seven evil ex-boyfriends.
