FHM's kick up the backside for England

FHM magazine has published an article berating England's performance in their opening World Cup match.

With England drawing 1-1 with the USA in their opening World Cup match, FHM has published an article that may provide a proverbial kick up the backside for the Three Lions.

The magazine referred to the game as "a profoundly un-enjoyable affair" and noted how its Scottish readers must have been laughing all the way to the full time whistle after Rob Green's error.

It seemed as if the England goalkeeper had applied a liberal coating of butter to his gloves before the game, spilling a nothing shot into the net for the equaliser.

However, Fabio Capello's men have a chance to put things right by beating Algeria tonight (June 18th).

The publication noted that there are a number of interesting odds at bookmakers stanjames.com, including 7/4 on Emile Heskey to score at any time.

England are 4/6 on to keep a clean sheet, while a 3-1 win will garner odds of 11/1 - the same chance as Algeria taking a victory.

Algeria lost their first game 1-0 against Slovenia and will be hoping to fare better tonight to have any chance of going through to the next round.
