Gardeners’ World to release scratch-and-sniff issue

Gardener's World's June issue is a scratch-and-sniff special.

This week the gardening elite gather at Royal Hospital for the RHS Chelsea Flower show and no doubt some of you with a BBC Gardeners’ World magazine subscription will have bought tickets and be attending the show yourself this week.

But some more exciting news for you garden lovers – the next issue of Gardener’s World will be a little bit more special than normal, as it will have a lavender scented scratch-and-sniff cover. The theme for the issue, which goes on sale on the 25th May, is aroma, so what better time to get creative with their cover?

Obviously one of the reasons people enjoy spending time in their gardens is not only because they look beautiful when really cared for, but they can also smell just as good – with a mix of scents depending on the time of year. We think the June issue’s cover is a great idea – and a little bit different to your average front cover.

There will also be an insert inside the magazine with scratch-and-sniff adverts which will smell of various different things- including a “mystery scent”. We wonder if we’ll all be able to guess what it is?
