Country Living, House Beautiful and... sofas?
You often hear about companies trying their hand at different things but this one may surprise a few people. Hearst, the publishers of magazines such as Country Living and House Beautiful have come up with their own range of sofas, available exclusively at DFS as of yesterday.
They have created a collection of seven sofas, designed by the very people who offer you expert advice in every issue of your favourite homes and interior magazine subscriptions. The collection is split into two – The Country Living collection which features four sofas – the Loch Leven, the St. Ives, the Gower and the Wexford, taking classic design from around the UK and Ireland as their inspiration, whilst the House Beautiful sofas has three – the Bauhaus, the Casa Mila and the Villa Savoye, which have a slightly more contemporary feel and were created in collaboration with Italian fabric designer Arturo Pozzi.
Judith Secombe, the Group Publishing Director of the Lifestyle Group, says, “Launching our fantastic collection exclusively through DFS demonstrates our commitment to readers wanting to immerse themselves in the stylish elegance of Country Living and House Beautiful. Both are powerful multi-platform brands and we’re focused on replicating the success in print to connect with audiences in pioneering ways.”
You can check out the new collection on DFS’s website – we’ve taken a look and they’re gorgeous, definitely worthy of being featured in the magazines.
