Avatar and Star Trek actress Zoe Saldana has had a couple of bad break-ups of late, with entrepreneur Keith Britton who she dated for 11 years and more recently with Bradley Cooper.
However, speaking to InStyle in the June issue, it’s obvious it has not put her off finding love. She says: “I believe in love because I had it for so long, so I know it’s possible. I’m not one of these people who’s going, ‘Oh, because I was with someone for so long I need to take a break.’ What if love is just around the corner?”
When asked who she’d next like to date, she says: “A bad*ss renegade! A pirate! A pirate who can cry. Oh my god!” Sounds a bit like Captain Jack Sparrow to us?
She also touches on the focus on women’s age in Hollywood. “I’ve been told by producers, ‘Well, you know we need to get on this because you’re not getting any younger…’” she says. “Women are reminded of their age all the time. It’s usually by a fricking fat, big-bellied old man with a comb-over and you look at him and you’re like, ‘Really? Give me a break. You just have more money and more power in this situation than I do, but not in my life.’”
