Mischa Barton made her name when she appeared in The OC (oh, that takes us back...) and quickly became something of a fashion darling. Nowadays she has her own shop, as well as a handbag line.
Grazia caught up with the actress in this week’s issue to get her take on the difference between London and LA fashion.
She admits that she alters her style a little when visiting our shores, as we’re a little less casual than the inhabitants of La-La-land. People look at you when you wear the stuff in LA because you’re so overdressed,” she explains. “It’s so casual which is nice on one hand but then I really enjoy coming to London and being able to put on proper clothes because you could go for weeks wearing slouchy clothes and T-shirts and jeans and sweats.”
Describing her personal style, she says it’s “a little bit quirky and eclectic. With a kind of sixties nod to it because my palette is quite narrowed down” and she also confesses to loving Kate Middleton’s wardrobe choices: “I love her style, she’s beautiful. I love that graceful well put together style.”
