Grazia editor is confident print is here to stay...

Grazia editor Jane Bruton tells PPA that print is here to stay because you "can't read your iPad in the bath".

The debate about print magazines versus digital is a long one, and we’ve always said that our stance is that there’s plenty of room for both. However, with more and more magazines ceasing publication, it does seem to be concerning publishers more.

Grazia’s editor-in-chief Jaane Bruton remains confident that print will always thrive, though and she makes a very good point that you can’t read your iPad in the bath! So true. We love to enjoy a long bath with something great to read, but there’s no way you’re going to risk your tablet by holding it over a water-filled bath tub.

Speaking to the Profession Publishers’ Association, Bruton said: "[Many of these] stories are out there [online], but we add spirit, tone and personality to reflect who our reader is and what she wants. You can't get that by typing a word into a search engine.”
