Twilight star Robert Pattinson has revealed how he was never considered sexy until he appeared as Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies.
According to OK! magazine, the star said his "scruffy" appearance has not changed, but that he used to find it difficult to get girls to talk to him.
That has all changed since the Brit was cast as the male lead in the films based on the novels by Stephenie Meyer.
"Basically, anyone who wants to be seen as attractive should just get Stephenie Meyer to say, 'This guy is attractive'. Then everybody believes it," Pattinson joked.
The actor is now dating his co-star Kristen Stewart, but revealed that she put up a fight to resist his vampish charms.
According to the magazine, Pattinson admitted that he asked Stewart out a number of times before she finally succumbed to his advances.
The two were first cast together in Twilight, before appearing in the sequel New Moon.
Two more Twilight movies - Eclipse and Breaking Dawn - are set to hit cinemas over the next two years.
