Lilo 'sees light at the end of the tunnel'

Lindsay Lohan has apparently seen the error of her ways.

Mean Girls actress Lindsay Lohan has apparently been getting through her traumatic spell in prison by focussing on the future and her release from jail, according to her attorney.

"It's a light at the end of the tunnel," Shawn Chapman Holley was quoted by Hello magazine as saying.

"She's writing a lot. She's creating art," he said. "She’s going to come out and surprise you all!"

The Mean Girls actress was sentenced to 90 days imprisonment for violation of a parole order earlier this year.

It is thought the 24-year-old could be let out early, perhaps after serving just half the sentence, if she behaves while behind bars.

She only started her serving time at Lynwood Correctional Facility in the US last week.

Earlier this week, Lohan's ex-girlfriend, DJ Sam Ronson, visited her at the prison after tweeting her support for the actress when she was admitted to the correctional centre.
