Stephen Moyer tells GQ he is happy with fame in his 40s

True Blood star happy he found fame later in life.

Actor Stephen Moyer has told GQ magazine he is relived he did not find fame when he was younger.

The 40-year-old, who stars as vampire Bill Compton in hit TV show True Blood, said that he does not think he could have coped with fame when he was younger.

Comparing himself to Twilight star Robert Pattinson, who at 24 often finds himself surrounded by screaming fans, Moyer said: "I would have been floating upside down in a canal if I was Pattinson's age. I wouldn't have made it. I wish him the best of luck with that," reports Music Rooms.

Before starring in True Blood, the British actor appeared in the films 88 Minutes and Undiscovered and had roles in TV shows such as Lillies, The Starter Wife and NY-LON.

He is dating his co-star and on-screen love interest Anna Paquin. They have been together since 2007.
