Mel C opens up to She magazine

The singer opened up to the publication, admitting she felt her daughter, Scarlet, had saved her from depression and her battles with eating disorders.

"Scarlet hasn't just changed my life, she's saved it. I worried that I might not be able to cope with motherhood but she's given me a fresh start," the 37-year-old told She magazine.

She said as her bump grew, she started to feel prouder of her body and this spurred her on to begin eating more healthily.

The Liverpudlian lass, who appeared in the movie Spice World with her former bandmates back in 1997, also said she felt she had become a better person after the birth of her daughter.

Mel told She magazine that she is "truly having a ball" now she has Scarlet in her life.
