Alec Baldwin seems happy ever after in Vanity Fair

Alec Baldwin tells Vanity Fair why he's so happy now.

Things are looking good for Alec Baldwin at the moment – which is good news after getting bad press in recent years (who can forget the infamous voicemail he left daughter Ireland which TMZ exposed in 2007 or the phone incident on the plane last year?) Those of you with a Vanity Fair magazine subscription can read Baldwin’s interview in this month’s issue!

If you haven’t seen 30 Rock, then we suggest you go out and do so immediately. The comedy series starring Baldwin and Saturday Night Live veteran Tina Fey has gained critical acclaim, numerous awards and a growing fanbase – not bad, hey? On top of his career success, Baldwin recently married girlfriend Hilaria Thomas in front of friends and family in New York – clearly any issues with Ireland have been resolved as she was maid of honour! It’s not a bad place for him to be at 54.

We wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of him though – the actor admits that he is prone to acting “unreasonably” and “childishly” and after voicemail-gate he felt a lot of anger towards TMZ producer Harvey Levin. "I wanted to stick a knife in him and gut him and kill him, and I wanted him to die breathing his last breath looking into my eyes." Scary.

He’s all grown up now though and is willing to let bygones be bygones. "You have to let that go. Enough time – I mean, it does heal wounds," he says. It must do, as life couldn’t get much better for Alec Baldwin at the moment.
