Comic book fans will definitely want to see The Green Hornet, starring Seth Rogen, of Knocked Up fame, and legendary Charlie's Angel Cameron Diaz.
According to Empire magazine, you should "expect something surreal, slightly '60s and more than a little bit cool."
X-Men: First Class is also making an appearance on the silver screen this year and it features some "groovy retro touches", as well as a "chance to see how Charles Xavier and Eric Lensherr worked together, and what went horribly wrong".
If you're more into the fantasy genre, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will be heading to a big-screen new year.
Despite not featuring Keira Knightley or Orlando Bloom, Jonny Depp is back and he's joined by Penelope Cruz for the adventure flick.
"If the trailer's anything to go by, it looks genuinely quite funny and a worthy successor to the original," Empire magazine suggests.
