TOWIE's Gemma Collins opens up about miscarriage

TOWIE star Gemma Collins opens up to Star magazine about her miscarriage and her fear it was punishment for an abortion.

When someone puts their life for all to see on a reality TV show, you think you know everything about their life, but speaking to Star in the week’s issue, TOWIE’s Gemma Collins reveal that she’s kept quite a lot quiet.

The blonde confessed to the weekly magazine that she suffered from a miscarriage the evening of the 2012 National Television Awards.

Of that night, she says: “I can remember Sam and Billie picking me up in a nice chauffeur-driven car. They were like, ‘Gem you look amazing.’ And I was thinking, ‘I can barely move with all this padding on beneath.’”

She admits that she thinks it is a punishment for an abortion she had previously, when she was coming to the end of a five-year relationship and believed the baby may have health complications due to medication she was taking at the time.

“I do feel guilty,” she says. “What if I can never have a baby now? The miscarriage felt like God’s way of punishing me.”
